Born in Toyota (Japan) in 1972, educated from a very young age in the art of Japanese cuisine in his father’s restaurant, living in Tokyo since he was 19 to collaborate in several restaurants, in 1997 he arrived in Barcelona. Co-owner of the SHUNKA Restaurant [“seasonal aroma”] since 2001, in 2008 he opened KOY SHUNKA Restaurant, [“intense seasonal aroma”], a refined version of his previous location. It obtained its first Michelin Star in 2013.
